How to setting rings in a tower correctly

Q. I've rung two peals in a tower, one on the treble of the back six, and one on the treble of the eight. So why does the Tower circling dialog show that I've rung two peals on the treble?
Rings problem

A. This is all down to how you have the rings configured in the towers dialog. So find the tower:

The first ring displayed is probably the one you have a problem with, but use the control highlighted to see what other rings are in the tower.

Now go back to the first tower, and click EDIT.

Uncheck the first two, and check the back two bells and click SAVE.

Now you should have a ring that accurately shows what bells are in the back six.

Go back to the tower circling dialog, or click Statistics then Ringers on the tower dialog, and Duco should accurately be showing you how close you are to circling this tower.

Some towers are a lot more complicated that this, with multiple rings, and with extra trebles, flats or sharps. Try experimenting with the "Rename bells" functionality, like at Halifax in the image below.
